About the Team

The BRCA-DIRECT Team is based from the Institute of Cancer Research in Sutton, forming part of the Translational Genetics Team. We are a group funded by Cancer Research UK, and are working in collaboration with SHORE-C in Sussex, The Royal Marsden Hospital in London, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Manchester University to deliver this innovative new study.

Our lab, the NHS North Thames Genomic Laboratory Hub NIHR Biomedical Research Centre for Molecular Pathology, is based at The Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. The lab is an NeQAS-approved, ISO 15189 accredited medical diagnostic molecular genetics laboratory. Sample handling, sequencing, and reporting is performed to NHS diagnostic standard.
